Worship services were held at the home of Sis. Harang, but the founding members knew that an edifice, a House of God, consecrated and dedicated to worship, was the fruition-the fullness of the vision.
By the aid of the Holy Spirit, a certain Mr. Toyhine surrendered property, FREE OF PURCHASE, and construction began in 1919 to build the first edifice. The building was completed in 1920.
In 1953, the founding pastor, Rev. Johnson, passed away and Rev. Charles Samuel Williams was elected Pastor of MSMBC.
When Rev. Williams realized that his health would hinder his ability to carry the vision further, he resigned in 1964. Upon his resignation in 1964, Rev. Joseph Walker, Jr. was elected Pastor of MSMBC. In October 1994, Rev. Walker retired and was bestowed the title and the office of Pastor Emeritus. Rev. Walker passed away in 1999.
In the book of Jeremiah, the Lord promises, "And I will give you Pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding; and on December 31, 1994, God gave us Rev. Pastor Thomas J. Brown, Jr.
Our Church motto proudly adorns the walls of our edifice and the tables of our hearts, "A GROWING CHURCH FOR A COMING CHRIST", and our Vision Statement, from the published VISION God has given our Pastor concerning us is "To See God Raise Up a Spiritually Strong Church, Rendering Praise and Glorifying HIM to the Fulfillment of HIS Will and Purpose".
